Letters to A

[92.9] Angeli
"Ancient man, whilst studying the nature of existence, discovered the four mighty elements, Air, Fire, Water, Earth, which governed life and were fundamental to all manifestation. Understanding themselves as part of manifestation, these ancient people searched for the elements within themselves.

As their thoughts were free moving, and unseen, they likened them to the element of Air. As their desires burned in their breasts, so they likened this to the element Fire. As tears flowed in response to their feelings, so they likened this to the element Water. And, as the stability of their bodies, like the planet they lived upon, was the basis of survival, so this then represented the element Earth.

Extending this understanding, it was thus decided that there were four inner requirements for lasting happiness. They were Peace of mind - Thoughts (Air); Courage of convictions - Desires (Fire); Love within the heart - Feelings (Water); Strength of resolve - Stability (Earth).
Just as the four elements are the building bricks of manifestation, so these four great truths became the building bricks of civilisation, and were eventually known as the attributes of Faith, Hope, Charity and Understanding.
Over aeons of time these images were continuously built by man, and ensouled by spiritual forces, until eventually they became accepted, by all the religions of the world, as archetypes of great power, described by different names, but with the same faces. In Western tradition, the archetypes are known as The Archangels Raphael, Mikael, Gabriel, and Uriel.

These angelic forces represent respectively:
Peace through Faith -Raphael (Air)
Courage through Hope -Mikael (Fire)
Love through Charity -Gabriel (Water)
Strength through Understanding -Uriel (Earth)
Whatever we may believe, the ‘forces’ of Peace, Courage, Love and Strength are as real as those of War, Fear, Hate and Weakness. The only difference being that one builds unity amongst mankind, and the other destroys it."
Interesting, isn't it? I pondered over this story for quite a few months in 2009, watching for stories in other religions that may expand upon these thoughts. It inspires some soul searching. I have other thoughts on angelic myths of sentient patterns, of conscious beings, of enlightening sparks, of karmic forces.

Faith of humans to believe, in something or someone better than their being. A reason beyond living in this chaos. A moment that gives or finds Peace. Faith in people, in your abilities, in my beliefs, in our lives. Some things we take for granted because we innately have faith that they work, blind faith perhaps, like breathing. I have faith that my lungs will aerate my body, or faith in air that is breathable.

Peace inside our bodies to live without suffering any chaos of a rogue or ill-functioning body part. Peace outside our bodies to live without suffering environmental chaos. Peace that we have the means to survive anywhere. Do you remember the simplest things to have faith in, or to believe in something good? In humanity? In life? In this universe? In yourself?

* This realization of Peace through Faith comes from watching people suffer in hospitals. How blind we can be to simple, precious things that money cannot buy. What gives you peace while you live? What gives me peace when I leave? Faith that the Omniverse works perfectly.

Courage when it seems darkest, when you think you are lost, when I get discouraged to go on positively, when we imagine a fear of what we do not yet understand or misunderstand. Courage to hold on for one more day, to do what is right when no one else dares.

"Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain." Dune by Frank Herbert; Another story to glean wisdom from. Fear is a mind-killer that numbs us from thinking straight or logically. We forget to breathe. It can shock our hearts when the body is overwhelmed by the mind.

The mind-body connection here is proven, and if I expand on this thought, the heaven-in-earth myth is amazing. (: but this is a story for and from another moment in time.

Hope that somehow you can, we can, and that all in the universe can conspire to help you. Hope that it can be, will be better in time. Hope against all odds. Hope (even if imagined) is infinite and expansive, perceived fear is finite and limiting. There is freedom and options in Hope. Tales of survivors who hang on through the worst war atrocities with just a simple hope for something beyond their present fears. It makes us tougher than we are. "I find hope in the darkest of days, and focus in the brightest. I do not judge the universe." Dalai Lama

* This phenomenon of Courage through Hope comes from watching my fears de-construct and hopes re-construct. The unknown, unidentified fear is a most insidious one. Courage to pause in abject negativity and re-model a different moment, to change. How will you hope to encourage any spark to enlighten until you have faced your darkness within? Courage determined by you to hold on through all chaos in the abyss of your soul. Courage to seek and find, so that one day, you could be sought and found too.

Love is that deafening silence when I really tune in. It is always there masked by layers of broken keys and chords. It is a frequency hummed by this universe. It sings with our hearts and vibrates in the core of our souls. Some believe it to be 528Hz, Schumann Resonance, the "Hum" or Aum. I feel it is what makes us smile and laugh and cry together. The unconscious compassion in every life form to feel vibration through sound. The Word is Love.

Charity through being in being of being universal love. A disposition to think and do kindness unto others and self. A devotion to caring for all states of being and to helping each other.

* This sense of Love through Charity is a subtle power of being. It shares constantly. I can feel it with you, as you can sense it with me. It does not use words that we know, yet we understand without languages or forms; A true communion that guides us to grow with grace.

Strength to have, to hold, to let go.

Understanding ignorance.

* This wisdom of Strength through Understanding what we suffer together can also be freed together.

to be continued..

you are the oldest angel in eontact with me. the myriad of adventures we have shared smiles through time. what we grow up to be, what we are happy being, we support and encourage each other.
