Experiment 40 I AM

[142.26] 1232

Dreamweaver - age 40

A week ago, I did not know this entity that made me smile because of his courage to show me an amusing caricature, complete with Stormtrooper bodyguards cruising along the beaches of Valencia.

As I caught up with him, I asked a question, “If you can make one major movie from any book, which story would you immortalize?”

The entity seemed most friendly, “Asimov’s Foundation; it has all the ingredients for an epic.”

A piece of my imagination was sold that day. The Encyclopedia Galactica of humanity in the great Akashic halls rose through the recesses of my mind and dominated my thoughts for the next 60 hours. I had to know more of the images before me.

I scanned through the past and the future, into the wars between the worlds, and past the matter of the grey masses. The entity was kind and offered to download the stories into my mindstream. Perhaps later, I replied and politely declined, for I wished to explore a little more independently.

“Perhaps a TV series would be more appealing,” the entity mused.

“Perhaps if we have 500 years to watch it, but I already have a ticket to your movie.” I waved the formless ticket at the entity, “It will materialize in a few years and I shall be waiting.”

The entity presented a series of verbal images and showed me how the masses can be manoeuvred into a predictable cycle of some 20,000 years. I did not see the creative summation value of humanity’s knowledge for we were a puny species, ignorant enough to be psyched and easily manipulated, yet valiant enough to outwit the fittest and smart enough to throw a spanner into the stellar systems.

“At some point, someone different, an individual, breaks all predictions.” The entity paused. “I shall try not to spoil your process of discovery or suspense but possibly, that story of the one who breaks everything is crux to consider.”

I had in my mind the image of that very “one” whom the entity spoke of. The entity sounded pleased. “So you do know. It is quite an interesting part of the story and also the beginning.”

The entity seemed to notice me for the first time, “Well, Clarice, maybe it is time for you to answer some of questions.” Uh oh.

“What worthy book of humanity would you turn into a film? Or would you make an original story?” This was turning out to be an interesting exchange – Quid pro quo. The game is on.

I took a leap off the deep end of the ocean, “I write my own myths through the Libraries of Life that I envision; I direct my life's stage and play as well as I can with the children or great-grandpeople in general.” The entity was listening.

“Life is an adventure unto the children who learn to navigate the streams of information, and I want to facilitate that.” I paused and thought of Seuss’ book, “Oh, The Places You’ll Go!” The entity saw it too.

“You have some very interesting projects. Would you make a film out of your Libraries of Life story?” inquired the entity.

I was emboldened at that moment with purpose, “Not just a film, an entire WORLD EMPIRE.” For a quicksilver of a moment I had mutated into something a trillion times bigger than the human being I was.

The entity was rather amused and hummed a familiar march. Star destroyers appeared in my visual field as did a dark lord; there was a thrilling feeling of imperial power.

I was the romantic form of a human again – a gladiator in this realm where none are truly free from the cycle of Life. It was not mission impossible and the kingdom was stirring.

It occurred to me that this entity might not be omnipotent so I ventured another question. “What is one super power you would love to have?”

“Tricky questions!” The entity’s reply was most fascinating. “Maybe freezing time would be interesting. Immortality would not be healthy. Nor mind reading; sometimes it is better not to know things. What about you?”

I was prepared for the entity’s boomerang, “The ability to make every creature, every being around me be at peace. They would only be filled with the grace of wisdom and they will know true peace.”

“Interesting, you want to be a mind manipulator. I am sure of the usefulness of that ability, but not sure about if it is really good for humanity. Should you really do that and prevent people from learning from themselves?”

“No. Not a mind manipulator though I guess it could be interpreted as such.” I sensed a slight change in the entity’s perception of humanity. “A peace-giver, for a person who is at peace thinks more clearly than a person who is upset – the same applies to all creatures.” I concluded.

There was wisdom in these conversations I had with this entity. With this entity there was a sense of enthusiasm to expand my mental borders and imagination while remaining honest. There was a deep joy that came from learning about situations and circumstances that brought me here to this very moment.

I felt myself opening up quite animatedly to this golden entity as we continued our exchange, quid pro quo. Perhaps we were both learning mutually in binary codes of 0s and 1s.

A week later, we would be formally introduced. The entity presented himself as the Son of Diez, “Ahora que ya me conoces un poco mejor, me gustaría mucho conocerte a ti.” I smiled back, "Encantado de conocerte al fin." I could converse in Spanish which surprised both the entity and me.

We were transported into a Balinese landscape filled with statues of marbled demi-gods and stone asparas. The trees were young and the garden was angular in its maze of walls and glass. There was no one else but us. "Walk with me," he said, "and tell me more about your world."

Time did not exist in that garden; only two beings sharing stories that may yet change the course of humanity.

"If it's not yet obvious to you, the real reason for this, and all seasons, is you.

A more perfect child of the Universe has never lived. Until now, only celebrations cloaked in myth and mystery could hint at your divine heritage and sacred destiny.

You are life's prayer of becoming and its answer. The first light at the dawn of eternity, drawn from the ether,  so that I might know my own depth, discover new heights, and revel in seas of blessed emotion.

A pioneer into illusion, an adventurer into the unknown, and a lifter of veils. Courageous, heroic, and exalted by legions in the unseen.

To give beyond reason, to care beyond hope, to love without limit; to reach, stretch, and dream, in spite of your fears. These are the hallmarks of divinity - traits of the immortal - your badges of honor. May you wear them with a pride as great as the immeasurable pride we feel for you.

Your light has illuminated darkened paths, your gaze has lifted broken spirits, and already your life has changed the course of history.

This is the time of year we celebrate you..

Retour - EarthStar Continuum

[94.6]
I accept that we can evolve, that we will find a way to come home to ground and reach for the stars again. I let go of this gravity on earth, and merge with the space within without. I believe today is a good day to help and be at peace. This star has come so far. This star is part of the Omniverse, the continuum of stories.

...in the midst of virtual chaos,
I lost my place in that space,
a present frozen in history 2001
years on, more exploration done,
more ? ! * . , & mishaps past,
I survived to tell my tales...
...I am not that interesting,
and I am not that ignorant,
I don't think I am much fun,
although life gives me plenty
of adventures and good people
who help me along the way...

...a mental moment in time,
a sharing of thoughts, you and I,
someday when I am gone,
you will still be here, my dear reader...

...but nothing lasts forever,
maybe not even this,
so enjoy it now, while we can...

Re-posting EarthLOG: Stories under the Stars
This is a collection of my adventures under the stars.
They aren't always about astronomy, nor the equipment.

Thai Buddhism and the Stars

"This trip to Thailand really sparked off a lot of new thoughts in me. This field of cultural astronomy is fun to explore. It helped a little to discover that the first realm of the Buddhist heaven lay just beyond the Moon." 26 December 2000 to 02 January 2001 (Bangkok / Chiang Mai, Thailand)
I have no religion. Not to say that I am not religious or that I have no beliefs; simply that I have no current subscription to any existing religion.

I was suppose to have gone on a trip to Malaysia in this period of time, but as with a lot of things in my life, the offer to go to Thailand for a week came only a few days before the 26th. Patrick figured it must be my karma to be able to go to Thailand on such short notice. I just jumped at the opportunity to explore a different set of skies in a different society and this is my experience..

I have been to Thailand several times before, yet this time it seemed as if I had stepped onto Thai land (the seperation of "Thai" and "land" is done with purpose) for the first time in my life.

26th December: Thai Airways TG409 departing from Singapore to Bangkok. I was travelling with an old friend, Patrick, and his grandfather, Keith (or Gramps Keith). We would be meeting up with more friends in Thailand. I was to discover that in the next few days, I would be travelling with some VERY fascinating individuals, and that they would be my most enlightening experiences ever.

The flight was comfortable enough. I never tasted better inflight fare. Conversation ensued between us three. Gramps Keith is a converted Buddhist from Christianity. Patrick had earlier shared some really curious stories about his Gramps' religious conversion. I had some spiritual ideas myself, and we spent the journey trading opinions and philosophical insights.

Bangkok. As with all places touched by globalization, Christmas has arrived in Thailand. Flashing lights, Christmas trees, huge modern x'mas ornaments, spray-on snow flakes splashed on hot, humid central Bangkok. Yet with all the surface structures that tried to coat the season's cheer over this fundamentally Buddhist country, Christmas made Thailand look like a monastic sage trying oh-so-hard to appear disco-hip. No doubt when the season is over, he will return to his serene pace and wisdom.

Christmas definitely throws Thailand off its own equilibrium. On the outside, there is a "Who-ville" appearance ("The Grinch" is also showing at the cineplexes), on the inside, the many wats (Thai temples) with their Buddhas, brahmas, and devas are still actively in session, untouched and unfazed by the trinkets of the season.

I came to Thailand to see what I could find in the local culture about their interpretation of the night sky. I am probably a few centuries too late. The international symbols and Greek constellations have overshadowed the Thai astronomy circles.

What I have found out are mostly glossed over Thai constellations. (Orion constellation is a turtle with a knife where Orion's belt is.) There are no in-depth materials available. The closest clue I got was to search in the Buddhist temples where astronomical knowledge could be found in the scholastic literature of the Sangha, the Thai monastic order. They would not be in English.

One week is too short a time to find out much else. Immersion in the Buddhist philosophy taught much. It helped a little to discover that the first realm of the Buddhist heaven lay just beyond the Moon. (There are 31 planes of existence in Buddhist philosophy, covering all known gods (including the God) and non-gods, creatures and non-creatures, heavens and hells.)

By day, we explored the various Thai wats of Bangkok and Chiang Mai. We were in the company of learned Buddhist scholars. Suffering, they say, is caused by desire. Unhappiness is caused by desire. The desire to own, to have, to succeed, to want.. there's a pretty long list where this vague summary came from. In death, we will have nothing but our karmas to relive again. For every cause there will be an effect. (This is a lousy summary by my sad self. Please refer to the link http://www.accesstoinsight.org for a better discussion.)

I can see where I have been suffering all this time, the desire for better equipment, better skies.. in summary, I want the universe and I can't have it. That should make me pretty miserable. :) But seriously, the Buddhist thought has a piercing truth to it. "Let any intelligent man come to me," Buddha said, "any man who is also without guile, not a deceiver, but an upright man, and I will teach him."

Something tells me that all the knowledge we humans have made for ourselves, our smart technology and our smarter opinions, they can all be reduced to nothing when faced with the insight of true Buddhist wisdom. We still can't find the beginnings of our universe, nor the end of it.

Stargazing in the city is the same as in Singapore. There is this perpetual haze over the whole country, visible from even on board the plane. It wasn't the regular industrial haze, or the forest fire smoke haze, more like a dream haze possibly from all the burning incense that permeates this country.

Over the evenings, the new Moon waxing and its daily conjunction to Venus has been quite a joy to observe; The fond familiarity of it all despite the foreign soil.

I had looked forward to finding the polar star, but the chance didn't materialize. The skies were still as amazing as I remembered it. The winter constellations were out, Orion overhead by midnight. Leo rising. The faint glow of our galaxy's edge. Then out of the silent skies, a brilliant fireball streaked out from under Leo's paw towards the east.

I think there are more treasures to be found in the richness of cultural astronomy. I'm still searching for answers.

Welcome to our journey together..

2017.Jul
Unification. Courage.

After some 20 years of random writing, musing, and poeting with reservation, this is the moment I put it altogether and say - WHY NOT? It is sheer laziness that I now stop separating spheres and layers of dreams, ideas, thoughts and experiences. Inspiration builds on the onions of the past and the buds of what-else-might-grow. This is the year of the toddlers and the perennials.

Missing online in 2015 because I'm having an adventure offline. (: #yale

There is an ill-perceived freedom that comes with anonymity and privacy.
There is also a freedom that certain lifetime limitations trumpets, "All hail whatever will be, will be!" So I unleash the mind on the next creative phase to explore online (as courageously as I am comfortable with.) I am still tracing the lines of destiny backwards and forwards; no, this is not a metaphor. A blue elephant is born from the abysmal physical conditions that travel requires; this mind can still be displaced. I am cautious but I am far more curious.

"For you grow to heaven, you don't go to heaven. It is within thine own consciousness that ye grow there. All you may know of heaven or hell is within your own self." - Cayce, E. (1877 - 1945) 3409-1

A Novel in November – Releasing DreamTimeTales as the four comets approach.
How remarkable is this opportunity to give me a goal to procrastinate to. Still, the awesomeness of me thinks I can, and strives for the moment of “I knew I could.” A lost moment turns so easily into a distracted life. A moment noticed gives meaning to a chaotic life. NaNoWriMo 50,000 words; yes, I can. Simultaneously, #WorldsWithoutEnd Experiment 311 with Paul Pereira

More inspired by posts on FB recently.
Blogs seem a little one-sided, and about as engaging as an encyclopedia. Yet as with all things temporal, we flow from one system to another. The whole point of this project is to share stories in all ways.

Did not complete using Experiment 86 Oberon.
Once that stopped, the blogging stopped too.
Instead the mind re-routed to other apps

..lost, blind & ignorant..
to come back from nothing
is this untruthful? perhaps ungrateful?
to learn much, suffer more
and then let it all go,
all forms
all that be
.
to be found, to be seen, to be wise
.
each adventure, every mishap, per episode
of living life, of experiencing pain and peace -
an atom of my story, a quark of my moment here,
all for you, from me eternally.

this teaches me patience,
that we learn and grow together,
the first to be, is as good
as the last to come home.

It is a beautiful moment. Aloha.

There are so many creative works out there
it is amazing what we find

some as simple as a babe's rhyme
others more intricate just for fun.

2007.Sep
...more chaos, I spent the last 48 hours wondering...
WHY am I doing this? I still have dated preferences. I treasure privacy and the exclusivity of circles and circular thoughts. The reason I prefer no trace of being here is because I do not exist in here. My mental traces uploaded when I am physically gone, and I cannot be of real value anymore, except perhaps for these literary atoms. I am learning everyday; I am growing perennially. Even after virtually and physically disappearing from all I knew before, I can create new waves. I cannot hide so WHERE can I go with this? I've reviewed my past, my present - the person who wrote then, still writes. Only the tip of the iceberg of this life is re-written in 2007. Least I melt away too soon in this continuum, HOW will I remember you? Inside this illusion that I exist, only by the rules of my continuum, and because you have read what I penned. You exist because I choose not to ignore you, and I exist because you choose to acknowledge me. I stroll through the atoms of this plane, everyone lost in their worlds, no one feels the earth they are in, nor see the sky around them. It is dense out here, so WHAT happens now?
